Covid-19 ကုသဆေး “FAVIPAC (Favipiravir 200mg) သောက်ဆေး" ကို COVID-19 လူနာများ (Mild to Moderate Symptom) အတွက် Pacific Medical Industries Ltd (PMI) အနောက်တိုင်းဆေးဝါးစက်ရုံမှ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင်
”ပထမဦးဆုံး”ထုတ်လုပ်ခဲ့ပြီး “FDA approval” ရရှိခဲ့ရာ Covid-19 ကုသဆေးရုံ များသို့ ပေးအပ်လှူဒါန်းသွားမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။
Pacific Medical Industries Ltd (PMI) သည် Japan, Russia, China, India, Taiwan, ဥရောပနိုင်ငံများနှင့် တောင်မေရိကားနိုင်ငံများ အပါအဝင် နိုင်ငံအများအပြားတွင် သုံးစွဲနေသော Favipiravir 200mg (Original Product’s Brand Name - Avigan from Japan) ကို PMI ၏ နိုင်ငံခြားသား Research & Formulation Scientist များ၊ Analytical Method Development Scientist များ နှင့် မြန်မာ Pharmacist များပူးပေါင်းကာ PMIစက်ရုံ၏ R & D Center တွင် ပြည်ပမှတင်သွင်းလားသော raw material များအသုံးပြု၍ generic medicine အဖြစ် တီတွင်ထုတ်လုပ်နိုင်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ဤသို့ FAVIPAC (Favipiravir 200mg) PMI စက်ရုံတွင် ထုတ်လုပ်မူသည် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ ပထမဦးဆုံး Covid19 ကပ်ရောဂါ ကုသဆေးဝါးထုတ်လုပ် အောင်မြင်မူ ဖြစ်ပါသည်။
အဆိုပါ generic medicine FAVIPAC (Favipiravir 200mg) tablet အား အစားအသောက်နှင့်ဆေးဝါးကွပ်ကဲရေးဦးစီးဋ္ဌာနသို့ အောက်တိုဘာလဆန်းတွင် Registration Sample & Registration Dossier အပ်နှံ၍ ဆေးဝါးမှတ်ပုံတင်ခြင်းများကို ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ရာ ယခုအခါ Myanmar FDA ၏ခွင့်ပြုချက်ရရှိခဲ့ပါသည်။
FAVIPAC (Favipiravir 200mg) သောက်ဆေးကို Covid-19 ရောဂါလက္ခဏာ အနည်းငယ်ပြချိန်မှစ၍ သောက်သုံးကုသခြင်းဖြင့် အမြန်နလံထူလာနိုင်ခြင်း၊ အလွန်ဆိုးရွားသောရောဂါအဆင့်သို့ ရောက်ရှိခြင်းမှလျော့ချနိုင်ခြင်း စသည့် အကျိုးကျေးဇူးများစွာရရှိလိမ့်မည်ဟု ယုံကြည်ပါသည်။
အားလုံးသိကြသော Remdesivir မှာထိုးဆေးဖြစ်ပြီး ဆေးရုံတွင် ၅-၁၀ရက်ခန့်ထိုးရသော အကြောဆေးဖြစ်ပါသည်။ Remdesivir ထိုးဆေးသည် PMI၏ Favipac(Favipiravir) ထက် အဆများစွာ ပိုမိုစျေးကြီးသော ထိုးဆေးဖြစ်သည့်အလျှောက် တိုင်းပြည်နှင့် အလှူရှင်များအတွက် စရိတ်စက ပိုမိုကြီးမြင့်စေသကဲ့သို့ သောက်ဆေးနှင့်ယှဉ်လျှင် side effects ပိုများနိုင်သည်ကိုလည်း လူတိုင်းသိကြပြီးဖြစ်ပါသည်။
ထို့ကြောင့် FAVIPAC သောက်ဆေးဖြင့် တိုင်းပြည်၊ အလှူရှင်၊လူနာနှင့် ဆရာဝန်များအတွက် တဖက်တစ်လမ်းက အထောက်အကူပြုလိမ့်မည်ဟု ယုံကြည်ပါသည်။
ယခုဖြစ်ပွားလျှက်ရှိသော Covid-19 Pandemic ၏ ကုသဆေးဝါးများလိုအပ်ချိန်တွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၌ Covid-19 လူနာများ ကုသရန်အတွက် ကျပ် (၅၈၅)သိန်းတန်ဖိုးရှိ FAVIPAC (Favipiravir 200mg) Tablet 60,000ကို Covid-19 ကာကွယ်၊ ထိန်းချုပ်၊ ကုသရေး အမျိုးသားအဆင့် ဗဟိုကော်မတီထံမှတဆင့် တစ်နိုင်ငံလုံးရှိ Covid-19 ကုသဆေးရုံ (၂၅)ရုံသို၎င်း၊
Tablet 15,000 ကို တပ်မတော်၏ Covid19 ကုသရေးဆေးရုံများသို့၎င်း ပေးအပ်လှူဒါန်းသွားမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။
Myanmar’s first ever locally manufactured drug for Covid19 Pandemic: “FAVIPAC (Favipiravir 200mg), COVID-19 treatment (oral tablets)” Pacific Medical Industries Ltd (PMI) has produced these tablets for COVID-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms. This marks the first-ever Myanmar FDA-approved, drug, manufactured in Myanmar for Covid 19.
To produce Favipiravir 200mg (Original Product’s Brand Name: Avigan from Japan), a product used by countries like &Japan, Russia, China, India, Taiwan, countries in Europe and South America, PMI’s foreign research & formulation scientists along with local pharmacists have collaborated to produce this Covid-19 treatment as generic medicine using imported raw materials at PMI’s R & D Center.
In early October of this year, a registration sample and dossier for this generic medicine, FAVIPAC (Favipiravir 200mg) tablet, was submitted to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA of Myanmar). Now, FAVIPAC is officially Myanmar FDA-approved.
FAVIPAC (Favipiravir 200mg) can be administered at the onset of mild COVID-19 symptoms. The therapy brings about the following benefits: it helps in the recuperation of patients with mild symptoms and mitigates the risks of the symptoms aggravating and the disease worsening.
Remdesivir, which everyone knows, is an injectable that COVID-19 patients with moderate to severe symptoms are administered during their 5-10 days internment in the hospital. Being an injectable, the risks posed on the patient may be higher due to direct application in the blood stream, avoiding the “first-pass effect”. Manufacturing, storage and handling controls are very critical for this type of dosage form.
Thus, we believe that FAVIPAC pills will be beneficial to the nation, donors, doctors and COVID-19 patients with its ease in administration and less critical manufacturing, storage and handling requirements.
In this COVID-19 pandemic, in which treatment is critical, Pacific-AA foundation has donated 58.5 million kyats worth of FAVIPAC as part of the company’s efforts to support the country at this time of great need for healthcare provisions.
60,000 FAVIPAC (Favipiravir 200mg) tablets were provided to 25 hospitals nationwide that are treating COVID-19 via the national COVID-19 prevention, control, and treatment committee.
We’re also donating 15,000 tablets to Defense Services Hospitals.
PMI has also started to develop the Favipac 400mg tablet with the same meticulous R&D and technical oversight as the lower dosage strength as we continue to focus our efforts on turning the tide against the Covid 19 pandemic.
